Acceptable Use Policy
Rules that keep our network safe, fast and reliable for everyone.
This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") applies to all Services. Violation of this AUP may result in suspension or termination without refund. We may update this AUP from time to time.
1. Prohibited content
- Any content that is illegal under Indian law or the law of the hosting location.
- Child sexual abuse material (CSAM) — reported to authorities immediately and terminated without notice.
- Material infringing copyright, trademarks or other intellectual property, including pirated software, movies or music.
- Phishing pages, fake login pages, scam or fraudulent websites, or impersonation of banks, payment providers or government bodies.
- Malware, ransomware, botnet command-and-control, or exploit kits.
- Content promoting terrorism, violence, hate or harassment, or unlawful gambling/betting.
- Sale of illegal drugs, weapons, or counterfeit goods.
2. Prohibited activities
- Sending unsolicited bulk email (spam) or hosting websites advertised through spam.
- Launching DDoS attacks, port scanning, brute-force attacks or any unauthorised access attempts on other systems.
- Running open proxies, open mail relays or open DNS resolvers that can be abused.
- IP spoofing, or announcing IP space you are not authorised to use.
- Cryptocurrency mining on web hosting plans (on VPS only if it does not degrade shared resources and is expressly permitted).
- Any activity that degrades the performance or stability of our network or other customers' services.
3. Resource usage (web hosting)
Web hosting is a shared environment. Accounts that consistently use excessive CPU, RAM, I/O or inodes may be throttled or asked to upgrade to a higher plan or VPS. "Unmetered" bandwidth is subject to fair use for normal websites; it does not cover file-sharing, video streaming or backup storage services.
4. Customer responsibility
You are responsible for all activity on your Services, including activity by your users and compromised accounts. Keep your software up to date and use strong passwords.
5. Reporting abuse
To report abuse originating from our network, email support@starlinkvps.shop with subject "Abuse Report", including the IP address, timestamps (with time zone) and evidence such as logs or headers.
6. Enforcement
We may investigate suspected violations, remove content, null-route IP addresses, suspend or terminate Services, and cooperate with law enforcement. Where possible we will give notice, but serious violations may be actioned immediately.
